Welcome to Emmyland! We're a boutique rental house based in Brockley, South East London specialising in bespoke wet and dry equipment hire to the motion picture film and tv industries. We specialise in camera, lens and grip hire. Emmyland was founded by Focus Puller and Camera Technician Emily-Jane Robinson who has over 10 years experience working within the film and tv industry within the Camera Department. We are proud to be the first rental house in the United Kingdom with a female Founder and Managing Director.

Emmyland is a truly independent rental house, with its roots and heart being birthed from within the Camera Assisting community. We are run by ACs, for ACs, so that Cinematographers will only have the very best equipment to work with with us as suppliers. Our kits are built by experts, for experts. We aim to be the superior and most simple solution for production as we have been founded on the principles of only sending out and stocking immaculately prepped and perfectly performing equipment. You will never see an Emmyland label on set and find that there are bits and bobs missing or that things are not working properly. If you choose to hire from us, we can guarantee that you will only be working with the very best.

Emmyland shooting kits are in immaculate condition and are rigorously specified and maintained in house. We stock only the very best industry standard equipment: from Arri camera systems, Cooke, Zeiss and Arri lenses, to Ronford Baker grip equipment. All of our equipment comes prepped and ready to shoot with every imaginable accessory always included. By going above and beyond to make sure that we are only supplying the best and by building up our camera packages with all of the additional essential accessories, we can ensure that you can always rely on our gear and it is always ready for anything when it gets on to set or location.

All of the equipment listed on our website is Emmyland in-house kit. We are happy to provide a one stop shop for all the equipment you might need on a shoot, and can cross-hire anything else that you might need if it is not listed here on our website through our collaborators and dedicated cross-hire partners in the industry.

We invite you to come and visit us and test our equipment at our 1,200 sq ft Headquarters in Brockley, South East London. We pride ourselves by offering an exceptionally personalised service to all of our clients, no matter the budget or size of the production. We can also offer package deals and are happy to facilitate testing at our kit rooms and to answer any technical questions you might have.

Our founder Emily-Jane is always available to accompany our equipment on set and come on board as Focus Puller and 1st AC, and so is Max, our dedicated Director of Operations and 2nd AC / Loader. Emily-Jane and Max have been working together almost exclusively for 5 years and work most efficiently as a team. We can offer exceptionally competitive discounts on projects where they are able to come on board to assist your Director of Photography and form the camera department. Check out What We Do to read more about our unique wet-hire one-stop-shop service and how we might be able to assist you on your next production.

OConnor Ultimate 2560 Fluid Head

The 2575’s baby sister! This is our favourite fluid head that currently exists on the planet and Emmy and Max work with her all the time! The 2560 supports a fully built up Alexa Mini, Mini LF or Amira. It will support these cameras with all of our spherical and anamorphic lenses and with all of the necessary accessories rigged up. Grips rave about this head and we can’t stop them. It’s better to go with the 2575 D for builds using big specialist zooms, but this head is the go-to for any other kind of shooting.

O'CONNOR 2560 HEAD PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

OConnor introduces the 2575’s baby brother…the 2560, perfectly suited to the adaptable, a la carte configurations of accessorised digital cinematography. For example cameras such as the Alexa in portable configuration or any lightweight digital cinema camera (from Sony, Canon, ARRI, AJA, JVC, Panasonic, Vision Research,RED) in ‘maxed out’ studio configuration. OConnor Ultimate heads have been used on almost every Hollywood movie feature and episodic TV Drama since the early 1990’s and OConnor heads in general have been heavily utilised in the industry since 1949.

Crafted for “cine-style” shooting, the new head design delivers cinema standard positioning of controls, including brakes and rosettes, for easy and intuitive use. The 2560 fluid head also includes OConnor’s patented sinusoidal counterbalance system for true, accurate balance at any point in the tilt range. In combination with the company’s stepless, ultra-smooth pan & tilt fluid drag, the 2560 delivers the control and stability that have been characteristic of OConnor for over 60 years. “Whatever camera configuration our users need to support, whether digital or film, the Ultimate 2560 will accommodate them without compromising on performance,” said Steven Turner, Product Manager for OConnor. “Offering many of the same features as our flagship 2575D head, the 2560 provides the quality and reliability synonymous with OConnor in a lighter weight, smaller form factor. Whether you’re looking to support an increasing number of accessories, gain more flexibility and mobility in the field, or future-proof your camera support system, the 2560 delivers a perfectly balanced solution for digital cinema shooters.”

The Ultimate 2560 fluid head is housed in lightweight magnesium, ensuring a best-in-class performance and a superlative power to weight ratio. Weighing less than 18 pounds, the 2560 is capable of supporting camera payloads up to 66 pounds at a 6-inch centre of gravity above the platform. In addition, each head comes with a carbon fibre cover for improved stiffness and maximum durability in extreme conditions.

As camera technology continues to evolve rapidly, OConnor’s newest fluid head is one of several products the company is introducing to meet the shifting needs of cinematographers and operators. “All of OConnor’s products are engineered to meet the demands of today’s challenging camera work, and now, more than ever, flexibility means everything,” added Turner. “The Ultimate 2560, with its high latitude of range and infinite, accurate balance and drag, is the very definition of versatile.”

AVAILABLE WITH OPTIONAL O'CONNOR 60L BOWL TRIPOD LEGS

Lighter weight and speedy with a heavy capacity.

The new OConnor 60L carbon fiber tripod offers a superior lightweight support option for the OConnor Ultimate 2065 and 2575D fluid heads. The tripod combines the benefits of new-age materials with precision engineering to provide a support system that is lighter weight with fast setup features, yet solid enough to carry large film camera configurations.

The 60L weighs just 9 lbs (4.1 kg) and has a double extension design that is safe and stable carrying payloads of up to 209 lbs (95 kg), even at its maximum height of 60.6" (154 cm). Despite its generous height range it folds down to a mere 29.9" (76 cm).

The smart quick clamping system includes visible tripod clamp lockdown and this is coupled with a pre-set mid-level spreader to ensure secure, easy deployment in every situation. Removable rubber feet expose spikes for optimal traction and payload safety on a variety of surfaces.

OConnor's 60L is a lighter weight, speedy setup tripod with a Mitchell top or 150 mm bowl, making it the ideal choice for professional cinematographers who require a flexible shooting package for larger cameras.
